I am a 5th grade science and social studies teacher at Arab Elementary School in Arab, AL. This is my fourth year teaching 5th grade, and my third year at Arab Elementary. I taught 5th grade at Ridgecrest Elementary in Huntsville, AL and 4th grade for two years at Creekside Elementary in Harvest, AL before coming to Arab Elementary school. I have also taught leaves in 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades. I have loved them all.

I am originally from Athens, AL. I married Jeremy Smalley on June 1, 2013. He is the youth pastor at Arab First Baptist and the reason I moved to Arab. I graduated from Athens High School in 2004, Troy University with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 2007, the University of West Alabama with a M.Ed in Elementary Education in 2012, and the University of West Alabama with an Ed.S in Elementary Education in May 2013. Other than teaching, I enjoy coloring, crayons, painting, children’s books, technology, decorating, movies, old TV shows, and new TV shows. I am very excited about what the 2015-2016 school year will bring!

About the Website:

I designed the structure for this website before I ever even started teaching. When I got my first teaching job, though, I was provided with a wonderful website from SCHOOLinSITES. When I was faced with the possibility of being hired by another school system, I decided to be proactive. I moved as much of my website stuff to this structure I made so many years ago. I wanted all of the wonderful websites and resources I had found and made to be available to my students. I want this to be a place for teachers, parents, and students to find quality websites and resources easily. Right now, this website is PACKED with on-line games and activities in every subject.

A lot of the links and projects on this website are still targeted toward 4th grade because that is the age group and curriculum I taught the longest. There are also 4th grade Scott Foresman resources by story including spelling games for every story and a few games/websites for skills. You will also find websites and games that complement 4th grade Alabama history and a few Alabama history projects and activities that we did in my classroom. The bulk of the games and websites on this site are online math games and interactive activities and online science games and interactive activities. There are even interactive typing, interactive copyright, interactive web safety, and interactive netiquette websites. ALL of the games listed on this website are actually fun and engaging and come from wonderfully non-cluttered, easy to use webpages. I have not posted anything that I do not enjoy thoroughly myself.

Thank you so much for exploring this website. I hope you enjoy it!
