This is a cool online, interactive grocery store board game. Instead of
dice, you pull grocery store tickets. You have several challenges along
the way - most are things you really do at the grocery store. Sometimes

food if he catches up to you! |

Switcheroo
It is raining food in the grocery store! Catch the only the foods that
are nutritious to earn points. Before each round, you will read a quick
sentence or two about the foods that you will be catching for that round
and about how those particular foods are good for your body. After a few
rounds, a food that is a superfood in real life will fall. If you catch

click F11 on your keyboard during an Internet game, the game goes into
full screen mode! You can also zoom out until the whole website is on

Inventor's Workshop
This one is really cool. You
will get several pieces to invent a machine to get from a certain
starting place to a certain finish spot. Sometimes you will have to
catch a ball before getting to a certain place, and sometimes you will
have to move to spring a ball from one spot to another. This one is a
lot of fun! :) |

Our Solar System and Explore the Milky Way
When the page opens, you
can click on each planet to examine them and to learn a little bit about
them. On the right hand side are extra facts. If you click the lever at
the top, you can explore the Milky Way. It starts with a little boy, but
if you click the down arrow, it will zoom out further and further until
you can see our galaxy, the Milky Way. After you get a sense of how far
away you would have to be to see the Milky Way, I suggest you click the
up arrow, to get a sense of where our solar system is on the Milky Way.
Have fun!

Alien: Assembly Required
Since we are learning
about space, I thought it would be neat to put this website up too. On
this site, you can design and print out your own alien! Have fun! |

Gravitational Forces
Explore how weight changes
at different points in space. You can even flip the lever at the top to
see how your weight would be different on different planets. Just type
in your weight, and then click on a planet to see how much more or less
you would weigh! |

Interactive Space Explanations
This is pretty neat. It's
kind of like watching a movie of how rocks are made...but you get to
interact with it too....so I guess it isn't really like a movie at all.
It's like a game you cannot lose. :) Have Fun! |

Sizing Up the Universe
This Smithsonian-powered activity is so cool!
First, you get to choose the objects to represent different parts of our
solar system and universe. Then, the activity helps you see how far
apart each of those objects would be from each other in the actual solar
system and universe using Google maps. You get to put in your address,
and the activity shows how far each of those objects would be from your
each other using your house as a reference. So cool! |

Interactive Daylight Map
This website is just neat. You can go to this site,
and it will show you exactly what parts of the world are dark and
which ones have daylight right now. You'll even get to see where the sun
is brightest, and which cities have a lot of lights at night. You can
even look at what the world looked like and will look like at different
times. Pretty cool! |

Apollo 11 Smithsonian IdeaLab
This
IdeaLab is an interactive lab that has pictures, facts, and audio/video
from 1969 as well as interviews conducted years later of Michael
Collins, Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, and more.
Tips:
(1)
In the bottom right, there is a bar that looks like one long picture,
but it is actually six pictures next to each other. Each picture opens a
section of the activity.
(2)
For each activity, click the colored box with the title in it for
audio/video (I almost missed this!), and THEN click "Learn More."
(3)
Pay attention to the pictures in the "Explore Here" section of each
activity. If there is a play button underneath, it will have audio/video
- and a lot of it is from 1969.
(4)
DO go to the "Try This" section because there are pictures, fun facts,
and/or video in that section. One of them is a video of Buzz Aldrin
making a sandwich in space. |

This one is full of fun
facts and a picture to explore (as usual), however, if you click the
lever at the top, you get to explore a little further. In science we
talk about how differently the molecules are arranged in solids,
liquids, and gases, but you get to see it in this science lab.
Happy exploring! |

where you can watch a cartoon about one of the most famous volcanoes in
history.

This one is really cool
because it is kind of like poptropica. You create your own little
character, and then travel to different places and interview people to
stop the stormerator! You have to visit three places, and disable the
weather bots to get the key pieces to stop the stormerator. You will
need to use your knowledge about weather to help you. Have lots of fun!
